Current and From the Vault Favorites:

Movie: Tangled

Its no Pixar, but John Lasseter is executive producer, which obviously helps.

This works because Disney has returned to what it excels at…classic princess movies.  Here is a new generation’s — Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White…

Music: instead of a band or a song this week I have picked a site.

Daytrotter is one of the best places to discover new music.  Bands stop by the studio, record songs, and then Daytrotter offers them for free on the site.  100′s of recordings, all raw and beautiful, at your fingertips.

TV: I Love Lucy. My first television love.

In honor of Scream 4‘s release, but original Scream lines are so much better (and I couldn’t chose, so here are 2):

Sidney: you’ve seen one too many movies!
Billy: Now Sid, don’t you blame the movies, movies don’t create psychos, movies make psychos more creative!

Sidney: Ah, Stu, Stu, Stu… What’s your motive? Billy’s got one, the police are on their way, what are you going to tell them?
Stu: Peer pressure. I’m far too sensitive.

Music: Hey Hey, My My by Neil Young

Hey hey, my my
Rock and roll can never die.
There’s more to the picture
Than meets the eye.
Hey hey, my my

TV: Nurse Jackie

Patient:  Are you on speed?

Zooey:  I am speed, motha fuckaaa!!
